Overview 

Are you ready to be a part of something transformative? Ellequate is seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Specialist who wants to be part of an innovative startup transforming the future of work. This opportunity is best suited for motivated individuals who enjoy the art of business-to-business sales. Successful candidates will be self-motivated with a natural ability and enjoyment for building relationships, problem-solving, and driving sales. We are seeking someone who is collaborative, persistent, enthusiastic, and goal-oriented. This individual will work closely with our team to identify prospects, develop strategic partnerships, and generally increase revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Proactively identify and engage potential clients who would benefit from Ellequate’s platform. Leverage tools like Apollo.io and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to build targeted outreach lists. Conduct cold outreach via email and phone to drive interest, generate qualified leads, and contribute to meeting—and exceeding—sales goals.

  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with Ellequate’s team to develop effective strategies for selling our products and services, and analyze market trends to craft informed strategies that keep us ahead of the curve.

  • Client Engagement and Relationship Building: Conduct presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our platform, and forge meaningful, trusting relationships with clients, ensuring that they feel valued and understood from the first interaction.

  • Pipeline Management: Manage and prioritize sales opportunities to ensure a consistent flow of sales inquiries using Monday.com.

  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline status, and market feedback. Share progress during weekly team meetings and deliver more in-depth reports on trends, challenges, and opportunities on a monthly basis.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales, ideally in a Business Development Representative (BDR) or similar role, with a focus on startups and/or HR technology. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets through outbound prospecting and lead generation.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural talent for building rapport and fostering relationships quickly.

  • A proactive mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a genuine commitment to enhancing customer experiences.

  • A​ demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.  

  • Proficient in handling data, conducting market research, and applying insights to drive decision-making.
